Mistfall Hunter Path of Glory Ranks: Duskborn to Zenith
Mistfall Hunter Path of Glory guide with every rank, score band, milestone reward, point source, penalty, and the Duskborn-to-Zenith climb.
Path of Glory is Mistfall Hunter’s opt-in ranked progression system. It unlocks at character level 6 and tracks performance across seven tiers, beginning with Duskborn and ending at Zenith. Rank points come from actions inside ordinary raids; failing to extract is the only point loss documented by the collected rank guides.
What are all the Path of Glory ranks?
Path of Glory has seven major tiers and 21 divisions. Duskborn is the entry tier, not a separate lore faction or story system. The score bands and rewards below come from MistfallDB’s current rank table; Metamist independently confirms the same seven-tier order in its launch-system summary.

The collected sources do not explain exactly when or how the listed reset scores are applied, so treat that column as a record of the current table rather than a complete season-reset policy.
How do you unlock and enable Path of Glory?
Reach level 6 on a character, then opt in before a match. Metamist describes the choice as individual to each player, so squad members can make separate decisions. Its launch guide and one detailed player walkthrough both say enabling Path of Glory adds scoring without changing the underlying matchmaking pool.
A Steam discussion contains one unsupported claim that ranked uses separate servers, so the queue behavior is not completely uncontested in the collected material. The most detailed sources agree on the score-layer explanation, but the game client or a direct Bellring Games clarification should take priority if the behavior changes.
How do you earn and lose rank points?
Rank points are settled after a match. Rival-player kills, bosses, greater elites, objectives, extraction, and carried loot can all contribute, but low-value actions stop paying as you climb. Every tier has a 90-point match cap, while the failed-extraction penalty rises from 5 points at the bottom to 60 at Zenith.
| Action | Duskborn-Mistwalker | Dawnseeker-Fateweaver | Oracle-Exalted | Zenith |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard extraction | +5 | +5 | No points | No points |
| Final-wave extraction | +10 | +10 | +5 | +5 |
| Boss kill | +30 | +30 | +25 | +20 |
| Greater elite kill | +20 | +20 | +10 | +5 |
| Elite kill | +10 | +5 | No points | No points |
| Rival-player kill | +20, capped at 80 | +20, capped at 80 | +20, capped at 80 | +20, capped at 80 |
| Objective completed | +5 | +5 | +5 | +5 |
| First container open | +1, capped at 10 | +1, capped at 5 | No points | No points |
| Extracted loot value | +0.002 per value, capped at 10 | +0.002 per value, capped at 10 | +0.002 per value, capped at 5 | +0.002 per value, capped at 5 |
| Failed extraction | -5 | -20 | -30 | -60 |
| Total match cap | 90 | 90 | 90 | 90 |
Metamist also lists monster kills, tasks, and acquired assets as point sources in broader terms. The table above is more specific about which enemy and loot actions still pay at each tier.
Should you always turn ranked mode on?
Turn it on when you are playing for a clean extraction and want seasonal progress. One player guide argues there is little reason to leave it off because it does not create a separate ranked queue. Steam players offer the practical counterpoint: turn it off while testing builds, farming risky materials, or learning a boss if you do not want a failed run to subtract points.
| Goal for this raid | Sensible choice |
|---|---|
| Climb the ladder or claim milestone rewards | Enable Path of Glory |
| Run a practiced loot or PvP route | Enable it if the failure penalty is acceptable |
| Test an unfamiliar build or class | Consider disabling it |
| Learn a boss or attempt a risky farm | Consider disabling it |
The toggle does not remove the underlying extraction risk. It only decides whether that raid also affects your rank score.
What changes after Fateweaver I?
Normal-difficulty matches stop granting rank points once you reach Fateweaver I, according to Metamist’s launch guide. From that point, climbing requires higher-difficulty raids. This also fits the score table: routine actions become less valuable in the upper bands while the failed-extraction penalty becomes much harsher.
The safest adjustment is not pure aggression. Player kills remain worth 20 points all the way to Zenith, but the 80-point kill cap and 90-point total cap limit the upside. A final extraction, boss kill, objectives, and one or more controlled fights can produce a strong score without turning every raid into a lobby-wide hunt.
What is the Server-Wide Points Leaderboard?
The separate Server-Wide Points Leaderboard ranks accounts by total accumulated points. Metamist’s summary says it identifies the account’s most-played class as its main class, displays the highest-playtime character name beneath it, and exposes exact point totals for players who reach Zenith.
This leaderboard is related to Path of Glory but is not another tier inside it. Path of Glory is the seven-tier seasonal ladder; the server-wide board compares accumulated account points.
What is the fastest way to climb consistently?
Prioritize the actions that still score at your tier, then protect the extraction. At Duskborn and Mistwalker almost every documented action contributes. From Oracle upward, ordinary containers, elites, and standard extractions stop paying, so bosses, greater elites, objectives, rival kills, loot value, and the final-wave extraction matter more.
Use the following order as a planning rule rather than a guaranteed route:
- Enter with a build you already understand; review the relevant class build guide before risking rank points on a new setup.
- Take objectives and high-value PvE fights that still award points at your tier.
- Avoid unnecessary fights once you are carrying enough score and loot to make extraction valuable.
- Treat the failed-extraction penalty as the deciding number, especially at Oracle, Exalted, and Zenith.
- Move beyond Normal difficulty at Fateweaver I, where the collected launch guide says Normal stops advancing the ladder.
Path of Glory quick reference
Duskborn is the first of seven ranks, followed by Mistwalker, Dawnseeker, Fateweaver, Oracle, Exalted, and Zenith. Ranked mode unlocks at level 6 and is enabled per player before a raid. Each match can award at most 90 points, and a failed extraction is the only documented point deduction. The higher you climb, the fewer routine actions pay and the more expensive failure becomes.
