Weapons in Mistfall Hunter do more than deal damage — for most classes the weapon you equip determines your active moveset, so changing weapon changes how the class plays rather than just how hard it hits. Sorcerer is the exception, building its loadout from magic schools instead.

Two pages cover this, and they answer different questions.

Read the weapons guide to understand the system: which weapon types each class can use, how weapon paths shape a loadout, what the rarity tiers actually mean, how affixes interact with a weapon’s base stats, and how you acquire and improve weapons through play. Start here if you are new, or if you are trying to work out why a higher-rarity drop feels worse than what you already carry.

Read best weapons by class when you have options and need to choose between them. It ranks by weight of evidence rather than by feel, is dated so you can judge how current it is, and is explicit about where the evidence is strong and where it thins out.

That second point is worth setting expectations on: named Legendary items are deliberately not ranked, because the available evidence does not support ordering them honestly. A guide that ranks everything is guessing about something.
