Mistfall Hunter Soulgnawer: Locations, Phases & Stats
What the Soulgnawer is, where it spawns on all three maps, how the September 3 patch cut its health, its two-phase moves and Silver Servant Power, and its loot.
The Soulgnawer is a heavy elite with a two-phase move table, found on all three maps. Its lore calls it an evil soul desperate to cling to the Velgr, born as one of the horrific byproducts of the soul experiments. The collected data is strongest on its locations, its patch history, and the shape of its attacks; it is weakest on what the phases look like in play.
Is the Soulgnawer a boss?
Not by label. GamerGuides’ database files it under major-elite, MistfallDB lists it in the Elites band, and WikiTactics titles its page “Soulgnawer (Enemy)”. No source calls it a Mist Lord. By numbers it is closer to the named bosses than to the other elites: its 6,642 Cataclysm Trio health equals the Twinblade Warrior Statue’s and sits in the band the all bosses hub reserves for the set-piece fights.
The lore line appears in two sources with the same wording, which makes it the best-corroborated fact on this page.
Where can the Soulgnawer spawn?
WikiTactics records twenty-three markers across the three maps. No second source names a specific area, so every row below rests on the one map.
| Map | Named areas (marker count) |
|---|---|
| Brandrgarde North | Cobalt Grove, Gold Mine Cave, Heroes’ Rest, Lockdown Zone, Mine Pit, Prison (1 each) |
| Brandrgarde South | Velgr Passage (3); Brandrgarde Pathway (2); Witchery Woods (2); Sacred Chamber (1) |
| Hallowgrove | Other locations (4); Demigod Coast, Divine Anchor, Frostwind Path, Pioneer Gates, Refugee Camp (1 each) |
Velgr Passage is the one area with three markers. For the Hallowgrove layout see the Hallowgrove map.
What are the Soulgnawer’s stats?
The two stat sources disagree, and the patch history explains why. MistfallDB lists a health span of 2,464 to 7,379, an attack span of 198 to 302, defence 705 and 21 attack moves. WikiTactics records that the September 3, 2026 patch cut the Soulgnawer’s Normal solo health from 2,464 to 2,217 and its toughness from 495 to 446, cut Normal trio health from 5,913 to 5,321 and toughness from 1,188 to 1,069, and cut Hallowgrove Chaos solo health from 2,717 to 2,445. MistfallDB’s 2,464 floor is the pre-patch figure, so its span should be read as out of date.
| Source | Mode | Health | Attack | Defense | Toughness | XP |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MistfallDB (pre-patch) | Normal solo to Cataclysm squad | 2,464–7,379 | 198–302 | 705 | not listed | not listed |
| WikiTactics | Brandrgarde Cataclysm Trio | 6,642 | 296 | 705 | 1,069 | 52 |
WikiTactics also records a chase speed of 5.5 m/s. Only part of the patch list was captured, so the Cataclysm rows may have moved as well.
What attacks does the Soulgnawer use?
WikiTactics’ table is the only move data, and it is organised by phase. Phase 1 entries include Attack 1, a seven-hit guard-breaking combo, Attack 2 with six hits on a 10-second cooldown, and Left and Right seven-hit variants of Attack 4. Phase 2 adds Attack 4 - Power (0-8 m, 10-second cooldown), Attack 6 (0-10 m, 15 seconds), Attack 7, an Attack / Counter reaching 5-15 m on a 20-second cooldown, and Attack 8 (0-5 m, 15 seconds). Special attack 4 has a Solo form and a “Three” form for Trio, both 0-10 m.
One row is unlike anything else in the collected elite data: a one-time “Silver Servant Power” move listed with a 29.6× physical damage multiplier, a 9.2-second animation and “Any distance” range. The source does not explain what it is, when it triggers, or whether it is the phase transition, so this page records it without interpreting it.
Every hit is guard-breaking and no row carries a tell, so the boss fight guide remains the source for general positioning.
What does the Soulgnawer drop?
WikiTactics assigns the Soulgnawer to the Big Elite Enemy Drop Table, a pool of 103 item chances, the same pool it records for the Twinblade Warrior Statue and the Tyrannical Executioner. No source lists a unique item or a guaranteed rarity.
