Mistfall Hunter currently has two playable hunting grounds: Hallowgrove and Brandrgarde. The same two areas appear in a hands-on launch guide and in MistfallDB’s current map index. They share the basic PvPvE loop—enter, complete tasks and fights, collect loot, then escape—but their layout, difficulty tiers, and Gyldenmist behavior produce different routes.

How many maps are in Mistfall Hunter?

There are two verified playable maps as of August 24, 2026.

Hunting groundAvailable tiersLayout and run characterExtraction pressure
HallowgroveNormal and ChaosBroad forest-and-ruin regions around a corrupted central valley; the launch guide describes Norse structures, woods, mountains, and castle ramparts in different quadrantsThe Gyldenmist holds back, then closes rapidly; Returning Chimes awaken a nearby Returner Woodling needed for the normal escape
BrandrgardeNormal and CataclysmA denser, more vertical environment with tighter corridors and frequent elevation changesThe safe area contracts in phases; Returner Woodlings appear around the map and drop the item used to escape

The names above follow the current database spelling. Some video transcripts render them as “Hollow Grove” or “Brandergard”; those are references to the same two maps, not additional hunting grounds.

What is current, historical, announced, or unverified?

StatusWhat the reviewed evidence supports
CurrentHallowgrove and Brandrgarde are listed as playable zones, each with two difficulty tiers
Historical test or launch contextThe pre-release hands-on guide said the game would launch with those same two maps and described the same core layouts and extraction differences
Announced future contentNone of the collected sources contains a dated developer announcement for a third playable map
UnverifiedCommunity-named areas, datamined labels, or search snippets should not be treated as a released map without a current playable listing or developer announcement

This distinction matters because a named sub-area inside Hallowgrove or Brandrgarde is not automatically a separate map. The count will be updated only when a new hunting ground is playable or officially announced with enough context to identify it.

Which map should a beginner choose?

Start with Hallowgrove Normal. Both the current map reference and the hands-on guide position it as the lowest-intensity option, with an Excellent gear cap and no listed clearance requirement. Hallowgrove Chaos raises the clearance requirement to 800 and permits Holy gear.

Brandrgarde Normal is the next step. Its current listing has a 300 clearance requirement and an Epic gear cap. Brandrgarde Cataclysm is the highest listed tier, requiring 2,500 clearance and allowing Holy gear. Treat those figures as queue rules that can change with balance patches; check the in-game selection screen before buying or assembling a loadout around a threshold.

Brandrgarde Normal2Epic300

For a practical first route through the forest, use the Hallowgrove map and extraction guide. New players who need the wider gear-loss and camp context should start with the beginner guide.

How do maps fit the extraction loop?

A useful route begins with a goal, not with the nearest gold outline. After spawning:

  1. Identify nearby blue task markers and choose a route that does not force an immediate high-risk crossing.
  2. Use gold-outlined enriched resource zones and guarded containers as opportunities, not obligations; they attract tougher enemies and other players.
  3. Mark needed camp materials as favorites before the run so their item icons carry a flag while looting.
  4. Track the map-specific escape condition early. Hallowgrove rewards knowing where Returning Chimes can begin the Woodling sequence; Brandrgarde rewards securing a Returner’s escape item before the shrinking safe area removes options.
  5. Leave while the route is still recoverable. Bosses, Underlords, and Mist Lords offer higher-risk fights, but a full inventory is useful only if it reaches camp.

The current map legend also includes traversal markers such as Warp Rifts, Updraft Currents, ladders, and floor changes, alongside tasks, merchants, treasure, bosses, and several extraction types. A marker describes an opportunity, not a guarantee that the surrounding route is uncontested.

Is there an interactive Mistfall Hunter map?

Yes, but this wiki does not currently host one. MistfallDB’s Maps tool describes pan-and-zoom maps with toggles for chests, monsters, escape points, merchants, and resurrection spots, plus plain reference sheets for named sub-areas.

The material collected for this article did not include a reusable coordinate dataset, licensed map art, or permission to reproduce that external tool. Publishing a page with only an outbound link—or calling a static image “interactive”—would not be a complete map experience. For that reason, the interactive-map intent is consolidated here and the old /maps/interactive path redirects to this guide.

Use the external tool as a community reference and verify route-critical information in the live game. Marker coverage, loot, and escape availability can change after a patch, and the tool is not presented as an official Bellring Games service.
